Bishop Auckland FC is thrilled to announce that Andrew (Andy) Dixon will be joining our Management Team as First Team Coach.
Having coached football for 26 years, Andy is no stranger to the sport and has previously worked in a professional football academy.
A current UEFA licensed coach, Andy holds a Master’s Degree in Sports Coaching. He has worked in Education for the last 20 years, and he currently delivers Sports Coaching Degrees at Bishop Auckland College.
Andy has also worked as a coach with the FA for the last 12 years in Coach Education.
Manager, Leon Carling, is excited to have Andy on board, and says, “Andy brings with him a wealth of knowledge, he already works closely with some of our current squad, and I am delighted to have him involved. As a coaching team, we are all working hard as we prepare for pre-season, and Andy’s involvement and knowledge are key. Like the rest of my team and the club, he doesn’t want to see us stand still, and we all share the same aims and ambitions, which is to play at the highest level possible.”
Chairman, Steve Coulthard, shares Leon’s excitement, “I am thrilled Andy has taken up Leon’s offer, not only will we benefit from Andy’s knowledge, but it also strengthens our current partnership with Bishop Auckland College.”
