Luke Williams

Luke Williams is an experienced forward who joined Bishop Auckland in August 2026 on a two-year deal.

Luke began his senior career with Middlesbrough, making his professional debut in 2009 at just 16 years of age. At the time, he became Middlesbrough’s youngest first-team player for more than a century.

A former England youth international, Luke went on to gain extensive Football League experience during spells with Hartlepool United, Scunthorpe United, Coventry City, Peterborough United and Northampton Town.

His career has also taken him overseas, including a spell with Víkingur in Iceland, before returning to the North East to join National League North side Spennymoor Town in January 2026. He later spent time playing in Gibraltar during the summer.

Bringing a wealth of professional, non-league and international experience to the squad, Luke joined the Bishops ahead of the 2026/27 season after completing all necessary registration and international clearance.
