Jonathan (JJ) Hooper signed in December 2025 following his transfer from Morpeth Town. A graduate of the Newcastle United Academy, JJ gained early experience on loan with Darlington 1883 and Workington. The striker has since represented a number of Football League and National League clubs, including Wrexham, Port Vale and Bromley.
He returned to the North East in 2021 to join South Shields, before moving to Gloucester City the following season. In 2023, JJ signed for Blyth Spartans, later joining Spennymoor Town in August 2024 before returning to Blyth in November. He linked up with Morpeth Town in September 2025, before his move in December.
