Bishop Auckland Ladies progress to League Cup final after thrilling victory

Yesterday was host to a phenomenal League Cup semi-final win for Bishop Auckland Ladies as they defeated Gateshead Rutherford 7-6 in an intense and nail-biting penalty shootout. 

The initial result was a hard fought 3-3 draw with goals coming from: Natasha Napier, Kari Rostron and Sophie Wood. With the Ladies’ Player of the Match awarded to Robyn Molloy. The already explosive semi-final went all the way to penalties, resulting in a magnificent win for the Ladies. Penalties were converted by: Katie Raine, Leah Curry, Vikki Ryder, Nat Wild, Gemma Marshall, Sophie Wood and Sarah Nelson.
