Everybody at Bishop Auckland Football Club are incredibly thankful and indebted to Lee Richards from RWS -Richards Water Solutions after a massive underground water leak at the Voneus Stadium. After turning all water off around the ground, we were forced to close the catering hut and as well as this, a Middlesbrough FC U23’s match was placed under jeopardy. Nonetheless, the heroics of Lee came to save the day as he came and fixed the leak, arriving the very next day and even halting his other jobs to see to this emergency. Lee’s generosity didn’t end there, after a bill of upwards of £500 he, astoundingly, didn’t charge us. A price overcast by Lee’s devotion and kindness, Bishop Auckland Football Club can’t thank him enough and would like all supporters to see his selfless act.
As a big supporter of local football, he simply claimed that he was: ‘pleased to help a local club out and help get through these challenging times’. Understanding the struggles we face as a Club in these turbulent times, Lee’s act embodies the community spirit at Bishop Auckland Football Club and we would be delighted to welcome him to a few free beers, along with a free season ticket at the Voneus Stadium.
