Bishop AFC BadgeAfter yesterday’s excitement appointment of Bishop’s new manager, Andy Toman, and his assistant Ian McGuckin, Andy has said a few words, regarding his appointment and plans for the future of the club.

Andy has said:

Bishop Auckland FC has a great history as a football club. I feel like I am a part of that history as one of the best teams in the Northern League as a Bishop player. However, I now want Bishop back on the map as one of the best teams within non league and, I know these views are shared between myself and the club. As chairman, Steve, along with the help he receives, has worked wonders stabilizing the club in the current climate, and I want the fans to continue to help Steve, myself and the club as a whole to move on and challenge the best teams in non league!

Compelling words from Andy for sure, and we hope he can achieve his goals. He looks to turn around Bishop’s underwhelming start to the season and forge a team who can compete with the teams above us and bring a spark of excitement and enjoyment back to the fans.
