First Team Manager Announcement

Bishop Auckland FC are delighted to announce that Andy Dixon has been appointed as First Team Manager and will take up the position with immediate effect.

Andy played for Willington, West Auckland, Ferryhill Athletic and Shildon.

UEFA B licensed coach Andy has a Masters Degree in sports coaching and is an FA coach developer and coach mentor. Andy has also spent time as a coach with Hartlepool Academy.

Andy’s full-time role is Director Of Sport at Bishop Auckland College.

Bishop Auckland FC Board members have commented:

“Andy’s stint as Interim Manager has been a successful one. His knowledge and experience has given the squad a renewed sense of purpose. We are delighted with the appointment and look forward to seeing Andy continue the good work.”

Andy has said on his appointment:

“I’m delighted to accept the role of permanent manager of Bishop Auckland Football Club. The club has had deep links with my family for many years and I know the huge part it plays in the local community. I’d like to thank the players for their response so far to Iain (Leckie) and myself and we look forward to building on the success we’ve had over the first few games. We’re looking forward to working with this group of players on the training pitch and hope we can be very successful together.”
