Two Blues make double signing
Bishops manager, Ian Chandler, has made his first foray into this summer’s transfer whirlwind by making a double signing. Both are familiar names to both Chandler, and his assistant, Brian Rowe, from respective periods at Whitley Bay and Durham City. James Fairley returns for a second stint at Heritage Park and will be joined on-field next season by Denver Morris. “I’m absolutely delighted to bring James back to Bishops,” Ian said of the returning Fairley. “At the ripe old age of 26 he’s approaching his prime and can be a huge influence on us during the forthcoming season. “He has a natural talent which I’m expecting to see every game, his speed and running ability with the ball will excite the fans and will also, hopefully, terrorise the opponent’s defences.”

As with James, Bishops management pairing have experience with Denver also, Ian adding: “I’m very happy to have secured the signing of Denver Morris, recently of West Auckland.
“Denver’s previous clubs include Whitley Bay, Durham City and North Shields to name but three.
“He has an electric turn pace, is very useful when playing at the back, but equally useful going forward. He’s a player who will excite the fans here at Heritage Park.
“We worked hard to secure this signing and I’ve worked with Denver at Whitley Bay, and for a brief spell at Durham, but it came down to what Denver wanted and he wanted the challenge of playing for Bishop Auckland Football Club.”
