Mark Tinkler’s Boro Under 18 side face Kwame Ampadu’s Arsenal Under 18 side in the FA Youth Cup 5th Round at Heritage Park on Friday (2nd February) at Heritage Park. Kick off is at 7pm and admission is £3 for Adults and £1 for Under 16’s.
The function room is not open (except for Boro Lounge Ticket Holders) before the game and at half time but will be open after full time for supporters to have a post-match drink. Our Catering Hut will be open from 6:15pm for hot and cold drinks and hot food.
Boro Under 18’s central midfielder Stephen Wearne scored two goals in 21 minutes when Boro beat Stevenage in the last round 2-1 on January 11th. Since that game Boro Under 18’s have beaten West Ham United 5-2, Blackburn Rovers 3-1 at Rockliffe Park and drew with Manchester City Under 18’s 2-2 in Manchester.
Arsenal Under 18’s come to the game having beaten Liverpool 3-2 at Anfield in the last round of the FA Youth Cup and will be full of confidence having beaten West Ham United Under 18’s 5-1 in the U18 Premier League South on January 30th with goals from Flo Balogun (2) Harry Clarke (2) and Armstrong Okoflex.
Middlesbrough are currently 8th in the Under 18 premier League North and Arsenal are 2nd in the Under 18 Premier League South.
The winners of the game will play the winners of the Colchester v Reading game in the 6th Round.
