Always busy behind the scenes with one thing or another, Two Blues manager, Ian Chandler, has added two more to his squad ahead of the upcoming 2019-20 Ebac Northern League First Division campaign.
Having already added James Fairley and Denver Morris, Chandler has moved quickly to replace recent departures with the additions of a striker, and a utility-style player (can play in numerous positions).
First up we have striker, Jamie Tumilty, signed from Wearside League outfit, FC Hartlepool and arrives with high recommendations.
Manager Ian Chandler says of him: “Jamie has just turned 21 and has been playing for FC Hartlepool in the Wearside League for the past few seasons.
“A centre-forward, he comes to us with natural talent, pace and scores goals for fun, scoring 39 last season and has been near the top, if not top of the goal-scoring charts in the Wearside for the past two-three seasons.
“Jamie has been a wanted man but stayed loyal to Hartlepool until we prized him away to join Bishops to which I believe our pitch, along with Head of Player Acquisitions, Wilf Constantine, who has followed Jamie’s progress for the past two seasons, has helped us to finally get him on board.”

In addition to Tumilty, Chandler has brought in utility player, Nathan Lawrence, a player Bishops backroom team have previous experience with and made impressions on.
“We had Nathan two-three years back when I was at Durham City,” added Chandler of a player who was with Consett last season.
“He made a big impression with his displays for one so young and he plays pretty much anywhere, with a preference for down the right flank, and across the middle of the park.
“I dare say he could play centre half if required.
“Nathan is tenacious in his tackling and very much an athlete, runs all day and never lets anyone down, an excellent addition.”
