Today we welcome the players, officials and supporters from Sunderland RCA to Heritage Park
Well, it was a disappointing performance from the team last Saturday and whilst we didn’t expect a big win against Ryhope CW, who have had a good run of results lately, we certainly expected a win at home. So let us hope for a better performance today against a team who have had a really good run this season in the FA vase reaching the 5th Round.
Last Saturday saw Sam Orritt play his final game of the season for us as he is now heading off to New Zealand and we all wish him well.
There’s been plenty of things going off the field at HP this week. On Thursday night we held a second ‘Sponsors Evening’ when our Commercial Manager Dave Mills invited potential sponsors to the stadium to hear a little about ourselves and the opportunities of companies to be part of our club next season.
We are looking at making some ground improvements before next season including improving the floodlights, adding more toilets and shower heads in the dressing rooms and adding a second container for storing our ground and pitch maintenance equipment.
I took the opportunity to have a chat with our Manager Steve Riley this week and he has told me he has started looking at the players we need for next season so that when the season ends he is in prime position to talk to existing and new players. Our aim is certainly to keep the momentum going and continue with the improvements we have seen so far this season.
Our Shareholders will be receiving letters very shortly to invite them to the Interim General Meeting which will be held on Thursday 23rd March at 7pm.
Don’t forget to visit the Club shop in the function room before the game and at half time. Plenty of items, which can also be seen on this website, for sale.
