8 Jeff Smith

<strong class="sp-player-number">8</strong> Jeff Smith

Jeff started his career with Hartlepool United in 1998 and a year he later moved on to Barrow.

In 1999 he joined Bishop Auckland FC and in his two years with the Two Blues he made 41 appearances and scored 5 gaols.

In 2001 he was signed by Bolton Wanderers. Rarely used by Bolton, he was instead loaned out to Macclesfield Town, Scunthorpe United, Rochdale and Preston North End.

In 2004 he signed permanently with Port Vale and was a regular in the first team where he made 88 appearances and scored 5 goals.

He left after three years to sign with Carlisle United then in 2009 he joined Darlington, but only spent one season with the Quakers.

In August 2010 he moved to Belgium to play one season with R.O.C. de Charleroi-Marchienne, before he returned to England with Whitby Town a year later.

Jeff Smith left Celtic Nation and returned back to Bishop Auckland FC for the new 2013/14 season once more only to pick up an injury which prevented him playing. Now fully fit Jeff is relishing the challenge of his third spell at the club.
