On Saturday (10th February) the Club unveiled the Commemorative Clock. At 2pm, before the home game against Shildon, the short ceremony took place. Many thanks to Pamela Cowey for all the work she has done over the past few months in sourcing the clock and the plaques that have been placed on the wall around the clock and for her words marking the occasion at the ceremony.
The Club would like to thank Andrew Lisgo, Corporate Media Relations Manager at Manchester United, the family and friends of our late Directors Brian Watson and Shaun Stuart for attending the ceremony and game as our guests and all our supporters and visiting supporters who arrived early for the ceremony.
As the teams entered the field we played ‘The flowers of Manchester’ and at 3:04 we held a minutes silence.
Many thanks to the Ebac Northern League, Shildon FC and referee Lindsey Robinson for allowing the kick off to be delayed.
Thank you also to the players, officials and supporters of Bishop Auckland and Shildon Football Clubs for the respect and support you all gave at the ceremony and the minutes silence.
